Why I Buy Hunter Boots for My Kids

Why I Buy Hunter Boots for My Kids

Listen, times are tough. I think they always are, but really, the world is in a very weird place lately. There’s a lot of judgement, finger pointing and ick out there. I know that I get looks and even comments from others about my kid’s clothing more often than I’d like, but, I also don’t have enough poops to give to reason with these Judgey McJudgersons.

Hunter is all the rage right now. Remember when Target had their collaboration and people about lost their damn minds? Legit, it was crazytown. I chose not to go that route, purely for sanity purposes. I order directly from Hunter and I will tell you, it’s worth every single penny.

Do you have a kid like me? The one who puts on seventeen pairs of shoes, citing reasons why each one is not wearable? Too big. Too small. Too tight. Not tight enough. Too purple. Too shiny. Feels funny. It’s bad. All the stupid, insane reasons that they can come up with when you are already running late and you just need them to PUT ON SHOES. I swear, these boots have saved me on multiple occasions.

 Yellow has been a staple!

Need to put on something quick? Boots. Going to be messy? Boots. No socks fit that day? Boots. Cute outfit accent needed? Boots. Closed toes? Boots. Easy on and off? BOOTS!!! Why Hunter though you ask? So many reasons why!!

For starters, they’re just flipping darling. I mean cuuuuute. The colors are bright and fun, yet the boot itself is fairly understated. We are huge fans of pink and yellow. If I was made of money, you better believe I’d have all the colors. When you buy something nice for your kids, you spend a lot of time worrying about it getting ruined. These are so sturdy and they’re easy to clean!! From the actual cleaner they sell, to a rag and water, to olive oil- there are so many ways to keep them in good condition. My kids have yet to ruin them. No rips, nothing coming apart- and believe me, they’ve done the work!

I also love the flat sole of the boot. Kids are clumsy by nature, and some of the other boots we had tried had a heel to them, and it ended in disaster often. The balance wasn’t there to begin with so an extra height didn’t help. A slight disclaimer: my kids aren’t coordinated in the least, so a heel may not be an issue for your kiddos.

There’s room to grow! They fit a little large, but we’ve had great luck with that! A little extra room doesn’t make them useless or even clunky. My girls had no issues with the extra room- and didn’t even complain. They end up lasting longer than an average pair of shoes because they wore them slightly big and grew into them.

The best part of Hunters? The resell value! If you are a smart parent, you buy second hand and sell your kids items when they’re done with them. Besides wanting to declutter your house- hello extra cash!! Selling a pair of these babies in a Facebook group takes approximately 2.2 seconds. People love them!

If you think I am crazy for spending $55 on a pair of boots for my kids, I feel you. We all chose to spend our money on different things, and I have found that the versatility of these boots pays off in dividends. Sanity, for me, is priceless!! They look ridiculously cute, they get use in every season and I know I will make some money when they get too small. This is exactly why I buy Hunter boots for my kids!

Adventure without fear of ruining the boots!
